Focusing femtosecnd lasser pulse or intense CW YAG laser, we have suceeded in fabricating small nanoparticles, and organic and protein crystals. Under such intense laser irradiation, mulltiphoton absorption is easily induced for femtosecond pulse, leading to ablation of microcrystals in solution. As a result stabe colloidal solution of fragmetned nanoparticles are obtained. Femtosecond irradiation of saturated molecular and protein solutions gives intersting phenomema of crystallization. Shock wave propagation and cavitation bubble formation are responsibe to nucleation, while crystal growth was observed at the surface of the bubbles. In case of the focused CW laser irradiation, gradient force is exerted on molecules and their associates and gathered at the focla point. This irradiation under a microscope is also a new way for molecular assembling, leading to nucleation. Recent advances on these new fabrication in solution will be summarized and discussed.
