Dr. Nadine Nottrodt is project manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for laser technology, ILT in Aachen. Since 2008 she is working in the group of Biofabrication. She got her diploma in Biology from the RWTH Aachen in 2007. In 2014 she finished her phd thesis on the topic of laser based surface functionalization from the RWTH Aachen. As a project manager she was the lead of several project in tissue engineering. One of the most important projects was the European research project ARTIVASC 3D, which aimed to develop three-layered vascularized artificial skin. Today she is working on laser based cell printing technologies to build up bioactive scaffolds for tissue regeneration.
