The goal of the Laser Safety Officer is to keep the workplace safe from hazards associated with lasers. This is an enormous responsibility, so be wary of claims that an LSO can be adequately trained in two hours or less. LIA is proud to be a trusted source for providing comprehensive laser safety training. Engineers, laser operators, laser technicians, and safety professionals complete our course with the confidence that they have been adequately prepared to administer a laser safety program in industrial, educational, military, or research settings. Over the span of four and a half days, LSOs will learn about basic laser physics, bioeffects, MPEs, beam and non-beam hazards, control measures, and more.
At LIA, we take LSO training very seriously. Our instructors draw from decades of valuable experience and are experts in the areas that they teach. Classroom-based courses provide the opportunity to network with peers and ask questions of our expert instructors. If you are required to perform laser hazard analysis, training and the administration of a laser safety program, this course is by far the best training solution for you.
In addition to the working knowledge you will gain, you will earn 4.5 BLS CM Points by the Board of Laser Safety, 36 CECs by AAHP, and eligible for ABIH CM Points.
