Laser drilling is the very first application found for high power laser. However the phenomena involved in percussion regime to drill sub-millimeter holes are not still understood. This work deals with the study of laser transmission through a hole. This transmission is essential to drill hole in a target with complex geometry for not drill matter behind. This study show the influence of target thickness and laser parameter on the transmission of the hole. The previous works have shown the morphology of the hole in function of laser parameters. And specially, the hole diameter is a function of the laser intensity. With the help of a very simple geometric model, the transmission through the hole is predictable. the laser is described by a geometric optical model. For depths below the ones where the laser makes a reflection on the walls hole, the transmission is close to 100%. Deeper, the transmission decrease until 0% when the hole is not more breaking through.
