Why should I stay at the ILSC Conference hotel?
By staying at the Embassy Suites hotel, you will be in the center of the activity surrounding the conference. It's a quick trip to get to the program and functions, and just as quick to get back to your room for a break. Additionally, staying onsite provides you with easy access to network with your LIA friends and fellow conference attendees.
Beware of hotel housing scams
The Laser Institute of America (LIA) has partnered directly with the hotel listed above. All accommodation bookings should be arranged directly through the hotel. LIA does not endorse or have a relationship with any other housing company or hotels.
If you would like to pre-arrange travel from the airport, Mears offers a variety of options including taxi and shuttle transportation.
Ridesharing services like UBER and Lyft are available for pickup and drop off at Orlando International Airport (MCO). Please download the app on your smartphone and create an account prior to your flight.
From Orlando International Airport (MCO):
- Exit Airport Southbound to S.R. 417 TOLL ROAD.
- Take S.R. 417 TOLL ROAD South (Central Florida GreeneWay) to exit #6.
- Keep in the left lane and follow to S.R. 535.
- At the second light, which is the intersection of S.R. 535 and S.R. 536 (World Center Drive), turn left onto S.R. 535 (S. Apopka/Vineland Rd).
- Travel approx. 2 miles and turn right onto Kyngs Heath Road.
- The hotel is on the right and visible from S.R. 535.
We recommend all non-US participants apply for their visas at least 3 months before the conference. However, some consulates may have backlogs in scheduling visa interviews so you should first contact the consulate to find out how long the wait is for an interview. For more information, visit the International Visitors Office.
