Description:
25,000 patients have been served in the past 12 years.
Originally founded as a joint venture between individual physicians and Georgia Baptist Medical Center in 1997, the Center (then named the Surgery Center at Mt. Zion) was acquired by Southern Regional Medical Center as a hospital and physician joint venture in 2000. Since 2000, the Center has aggressively grown to perform over 5000 outpatient surgical cases per year. They have seven specialties: Otolaryngology, Pain Management, Podiatry, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Urology and Gynecology.
Not only do they perform more than 5,000 procedures each year, they are also one of the top pain management providers in the Southern Arc attending over 2,000 cases each year.
The Center's expansion has been fast and furious, and in 2009, they moved from Morrow, GA., to a new 25,000-square-foot facility at Spivey Station in Jonesboro, GA. With the move, came a new name - Spivey Station Surgery Center. Spivey Station is fully accredited by The Joint Commission as well as CMS certified.
Spivey Station Surgery Center’s mission is to provide an unparalleled outpatient surgical experience that is in tune with our patients’ needs.
